Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 40 pounds. * Ability to work in classrooms, offices, worship spaces, and server/storage areas. * Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events, emergencies, or system maintenance. Reports To: School Principal Employment Classification: Full-Time, Exempt ## Description The Director of Technology is responsible for leading and managing all technology operations for the school and parish. This position supports the mission of the Catholic Church and school by ensuring reliable, secure, and effective technology systems that enhance education, ministry, communication, administration, and worship. The Technology Director provides strategic leadership, technical support, and oversight of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital learning initiatives. The Technology Director works collaboratively with school and parish leadership, faculty, staff, volunteers, and external vendors to maintain a safe, efficient, and mission-centered technology environment., Technology Leadership & Strategy * Develop and implement a comprehensive technology plan aligned with parish and school goals. * Advise the Pastor, Principal, and leadership team on technology initiatives, budgeting, infrastructure, and innovation. * Research and recommend new technologies to improve operations, communication, security, and instructional effectiveness. * Maintain technology policies, procedures, and acceptable use guidelines. Infrastructure & Systems Management * Oversee all parish and school technology systems including: * Network infrastructure * Wi-Fi systems * Servers and cloud-based platforms * Computers, printers, and mobile devices * Classroom technology and smart boards * Phone and communication systems * Safety/security systems, including cameras, access control, student alerts, etc. Audio/visual systems for worship and events * Ensure reliable system performance, backups, updates, and disaster recovery procedures. * Manage technology inventory and lifecycle replacement schedules. School Technology & Instructional Support * Support teachers and staff in the effective integration of technology into classroom instruction. * Coordinate educational software platforms, student devices, and learning management systems. * Provide training and professional development for faculty and staff. * Assist with technology planning for standardized testing and digital learning initiatives. Technical Support * Provide day-to-day technical support for parish and school staff. * Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user issues in a timely manner. * Coordinate help desk requests and prioritize support needs. * Serve as the primary liaison with outside technology vendors and service providers. Cybersecurity & Data Protection * Maintain cybersecurity protocols and best practices. * Monitor network security, antivirus protection, user access, and data privacy compliance. * Ensure protection of confidential student, parishioner, employee, and financial information. * Coordinate data backup and recovery systems. Communications & Media Support * Assist with technology needs for liturgies, meetings, events, and presentations. * Oversee audiovisual systems for worship spaces and school events as needed.
