Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3). ## Description Microchip Technology Inc. has a Technical Staff Engineer - Digital Design opening based in the San Jose, CA office. The FTS systems group produces network timing equipment such as PTP Grandmasters and NTP servers. The position involves creating and maintaining FPGA IP units and full FPGA system design. Team members participate in all aspects of the design cycle: collaboration with HW/SW/Marketing/Test/Manufacturing teams, initial planning, high-level specification, detailed design and documentation, simulation/verification, hardware bring-up/testing, and product sustaining.
