This role is ideal for someone who wants to be a technical leader without moving into a purely management position., Required * 7+ years supporting Windows Server environments * Strong experience with: * Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) * Active Directory & Group Policy * Microsoft 365 Administration * Azure Active Directory / Entra ID * Hyper-V and/or VMware * PowerShell * DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and networking fundamentals * Backup and disaster recovery solutions * Experience leading infrastructure projects * Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills * Ability to mentor less experienced technicians Preferred * Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) * Azure infrastructure experience * Microsoft Intune * Microsoft SharePoint * Storage platforms (Synology, Dell, HPE) * Ubiquiti and WatchGuard networking * Experience with RMM and PSA platforms (such as NinjaOne and ConnectWise) * Microsoft or VMware certifications, * Loves solving difficult technical problems. * Remains calm under pressure. * Enjoys teaching others instead of simply fixing issues themselves. * Takes ownership from problem identification through resolution. * Communicates technical information clearly to both clients and teammates. * Constantly looks for ways to improve systems and processes. ## Description The Senior Systems Administrator serves as the highest level of technical escalation for our service team. You'll troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, lead server and cloud migration projects, mentor junior engineers, and help establish technical standards that improve the quality and consistency of our services., * Serve as Tier III escalation support for complex server, virtualization, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues. * Troubleshoot Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, VMware, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and storage issues. * Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions. * Assist with cybersecurity remediation and infrastructure hardening. Project Leadership * Lead server refreshes and migration projects. * Plan and execute Windows Server upgrades and migrations. * Design and implement Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure. * Perform virtualization migrations and storage upgrades. * Coordinate project work with internal teams and client stakeholders. * Ensure projects are documented and transitioned successfully to support. Mentorship * Mentor junior systems administrators and help desk technicians. * Assist with technical training and knowledge sharing. * Review technical work before implementation. * Help develop documentation, standards, and best practices. * Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
