As Technical Infrastructure Architect, you will provide technical infrastructure architecture leadership and design assurance to support Safe & Legal Day One requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring staff can securely access core systems, applications and data as services transition to the new authorities. You will lead the assessment of legacy infrastructure across 12 councils, developing safe, resilient transition and convergence solutions across key technical areas including networks, identity, Microsoft 365, telephony and cyber security. A key part of the role will be building a clear picture of current infrastructure, identifying dependencies and risks, and shaping robust, deliverable design solutions. You'll also establish technical design standards and decision-making frameworks to support consistent implementation across the programme. Working in a complex, multi-organisation environment, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including suppliers and delivery partners, helping to prioritise work, manage dependencies and maintain momentum across concurrent projects. While this role does not include formal line management, you will provide direction, support and coaching to project managers and technical teams within the workstream. Success in this role will be reflected in the delivery of secure, resilient and well-governed infrastructure foundations that enable a smooth and compliant transition on Day One., 2.
