## About the Role

Do you have experience in Spark?, * 5+ years with Python, Spark, Git, and Azure DevOps

 * 5+ years delivering production ML or AI solutions on cloud platforms, Azure preferred
 * Expert-level AKS - you have owned production Kubernetes workloads, not just tested them
 * Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure Document Intelligence, and applied AI concepts such as RAG, embeddings, and chunking
 * Able to build production APIs in Python using FastAPI or similar frameworks
 * Familiar with queue and messaging services such as Redis, MQ, or cloud-managed equivalents
 * Solid testing discipline across unit and automated testing
 * Strong communicator in English with the ownership mindset to drive a workstream independently

## Description

We are looking for a senior Python and cloud engineer with deep Azure Kubernetes expertise to join a strategic AI platform migration at one of the Netherlands' largest banks. You will take ownership of re-engineering a live AI use case from an Azure Machine Learning environment onto an internal Kubernetes-based platform. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role with a delivery target of end of Q4 2026., You will be responsible for the technical migration of a production AI use case, currently running in Azure Machine Learning, onto an internal platform built on Azure Kubernetes Service. Your work spans the full engineering stack: designing and setting up Azure infrastructure, building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, migrating and re-engineering Python application code for a containerised Kubernetes environment, and developing automated test coverage across the stack.The role requires someone who can work independently on agreed deliverables while collaborating closely with internal engineers and product stakeholders.
