## About the Role

* Minimum of 5 years experience within Software Testing
 * Some experience of mentoring/leading junior engineers
 * Defence/Government experience required if no automation testing experience
 * A good communicator and excellent at engaging with stakeholders
 * An interest in automation testing if lacking experience

## Description

Our client is looking for experienced Test Engineers working across the software development lifecycle, ensuring that applications are functional, reliable, and user-friendly before being released to end users.

The client are looking for someone to offer test leadership while remaining very hands on with the tech and implementation.

You will be writing automated scripts and designing automation frameworks.

Working Patterns: This role is based full time on site.

Key responsibilities

 * Writing automated scripts from scratch, whilst designing and building test automation frameworks.
 * Work across unit, performance, integration, system, acceptance and usability testing as required

 * Designing, developing, and executing test plans and cases based on requirements and technical specifications
 * Identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs, errors, and inconsistencies
 * Collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
 * Enhancing and automating test procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
 * Contributing to product design reviews by highlighting potential risks, issues, and usability concerns
 * Partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain quality throughout development
 * Performing post-release/implementation testing to confirm requirements are met
 * Assessing and recommending new tools and methodologies to optimize testing processes
 * Preparing clear reports on testing outcomes to inform stakeholders and guide decision-making
