## About the Role

* Proven experience as a Test Lead within complex delivery environments
 * Strong experience working in the UK public sector and/or regulated environments
 * Solid understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
 * Experience in:
 + Test strategy development
 + Defect management and tracking tools
 + Test reporting and quality metrics
 * Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and change

 * Agile certifications or formal Agile training
 * Experience with ServiceNow
 * Knowledge of scaled Agile frameworks (eg, SAFe), * Relevant testing certification (eg, Agile Testing Foundation (ATF) or equivalent)

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to manage and drive the end-to-end testing life cycle within an Agile delivery framework. This role is responsible for defining testing strategy, coordinating execution, and ensuring high-quality releases aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will lead testing activities across all phases, proactively manage risks and blockers, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders, ensuring testing is delivered on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & Planning

 * Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and quality assurance frameworks
 * Define testing scope, objectives, resources, and timelines
 * Produce detailed test plans aligned to project and business goals
 * Establish and track quality metrics and KPIs

Test Execution & Delivery

 * Oversee end-to-end test execution across all phases of delivery
 * Ensure teams have the necessary tools, environments, and test data
 * Coordinate testing activities within an Agile (Scrum/SAFe) framework
 * Ensure alignment between testing and development teams

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

 * Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and outcomes
 * Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
 * Deliver clear, actionable reports to support release decisions

Risk & Issue Management

 * Proactively identify risks and issues impacting delivery timelines
 * Remove impediments and escalate where required
 * Manage defect life cycle, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution

Continuous Improvement

 * Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and methodologies
 * Promote best practices and quality-first mindset across teams, * Travel to client offices in Leeds, London, and Exeter may be required for:
 + Quarterly PI Planning sessions
 + Workshops and key delivery milestones
 * Occasional overnight stays may be required
 * Travel & expenses are not billable to the client
