## About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a Requirements Systems Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, proactive, proficient at task planning, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills., Education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field and 4 years of related/relevant work experience, or a Master's Degree and 2 years of related/relevant work experience.

 * Experience with requirement management database tools such as DOORS, Jama, etc.
 * Knowledge of requirements and their purpose in systems engineering
 * Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and systems engineering technical processes
 * Ability and willingness to travel to DC weekly
 * Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams
 * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

 * Experience within the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Office
 * Associate or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP/CSEP) INCOSE certification
 * Experience using DOORS Extension Language (DXL)
 * Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
