Database Administrator (PaaS) responsible for the performance, availability, and security of database services in on-premises and cloud environments. Key duties include monitoring and optimizing DB performance, defining backup and recovery strategies, managing upgrades, and maintaining the BI stack (Oracle Analytics, Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat, OBIEE, ODI, OAS). The role involves configuring database infrastructure, automating administration tasks, and ensuring platforms remain current with software lifecycle management. Strong knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, high availability solutions, and server operating systems is required, Monitoring the performance of assigned systems and the definition and implementation of adequate measures ensuring an optimal performance and high availability of the DB services; Defining DB backup strategies and ensuring a valid and maintained recovery plan is in place; Defining and implementing an upgrade strategy to keep the DB environment current; Management/Upgrade/Patching of BI stack, composed of Oracle Analytics, Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS). Selecting and implementing appropriate DB infrastructure configurations in support of business/technology architectures; Performs routine installation, re-configuration, backups of database and related products on on-premises and cloud environments. Develops and configures tools to enable automation of database administration tasks.
