Interested? Here's what you'd do: * Develops and supports additive manufacturing ('AM') processes and technology, including, but not limited to, 3D printing, rapid prototyping (RP), direct digital manufacturing (DDM), layered manufacturing and additive fabrications. * Determines material-process-design interdependencies provides AM design optimization input, researches and facilitates AM material and process discussions and requirements, interfaces with product line. * Applies digital design, CAD, solid modeling software and computer aided engineering methods. * Interprets engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes; problem solves material, process and parts issues such as defect structure and porosity issues. * Develops test methods and procedures, performs inspection and failure analysis. * May develop qualitative tools and software to optimize and increase reliability of existing equipment for AM. * May research new AM technologies, create AM work instructions or assist in the development of AM machinists/technicians, training on new product processes and methods., After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
