We believe the perfect candidate isn't interested in just what we're building right now, but wants to understand where we're going and how it impacts the customer to ensure everything we create moves us closer to our goal: delivering the best customer experience. The ideal candidate will have: * Min of 8+ years work experience * Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) * Extensive experience with Java and Spring / SpringBoot * Extensive experience with reactive programming (Spring Reactive) * A deep understanding of AWS Cloud technologies and how to create scalable multi-region applications * Experience with the following technologies: o AWS Serverless and serverless-supported languages o DB (ex, Postgresql, CocroachDB) o Streaming technologies (Amazon Kinesis, Kafka) o Message Queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) * Experience working within an agile development * Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) * Experience with Micro-Service and Service oriented architectures * Experience with Core Services around player journeys and experiences * Nice to have experience with Sportsbetting, Trading Development and Casino software * Nice to have knowledge around general trading rules and feed providers * Nice to have knowledge with odds feeds such-as Radar, Genius, Swich, & Simplebet ## Description We are looking for a Staff Backend Engineer - Sportsbook, to join our rapidly growing technology team, responsible for the continuous growth and support of our Sportsbook. This position will be able to come in an have a lot of ownership of the shape of the backend implementation. It is an exciting and rewarding opportunity.
