What Success Looks Like * Architectures are clearly defined and consistently implemented across projects. ## Description The Staff Power Architect - System Design is responsible for architecture definition, modeling, and technical leadership for PMIC and advanced DC/DC converter products. This role provides architectural ownership and technical leadership from concept through silicon validation. The role works closely with analog design, digital, verification, validation, test, and product engineering teams to ensure alignment of architecture intent, implementation, and verification across multiple programs., System Architecture & Technical Leadership * Define and own architectures for PMIC and advanced power converter products across multiple programs. * Drive architecture trade-offs and define operating modes, startup and shutdown sequencing, and system boundary conditions. * Lead architecture reviews and remain deeply involved during the design phase to ensure the transition from architecture to design execution is carried out correctly. * Provide architectural leadership and technical guidance for system-level design decisions across projects. Modeling & Analysis * Develop and maintain low-level and system-level models to support architecture decisions and risk reduction, using tools such as Simplis. * Analyze stability, transient response, fault behavior, and corner cases to support architecture definition and validation. * Provide model-based insight to support analog design convergence and reduce silicon risk. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Collaborate with analog design, digital, verification, validation, test, and applications teams to ensure architecture intent is implemented and verified. * Participate in design and architecture reviews and technical discussions across multiple programs. * Provide technical guidance during silicon validation and system-level debug activities. Documentation & Knowledge Capture * Create and maintain architecture documentation, design guidelines, and best-practice references. * Create detailed sub-block specifications that enable design and verification teams to execute implementation and verification activities efficiently. * Capture lessons learned, root causes, and preventive actions to improve future designs. * Contribute to internal training, workshops, and technical knowledge-sharing activities. ## Related Videos - [Building a hypercar from scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/607-building-a-hypercar-from-scratch) - [ Secure Code Superstars: Empowering Developers and Surpassing Security Challenges Together](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/422-secure-code-superstars-empowering-developers-and-surpassing-security-challenges-together) - [We (don't) need a software architect!?!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/663-we-don-t-need-a-software-architect) - [Old tools, new tricks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1916-old-tools-new-tricks) - [Model Based Systems Engineering in an Agile Product Development Process](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/68-model-based-systems-engineering-in-an-agile-product-development-process) - [Software stack under and over the hood of the fastest accelerating car in the world](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/221-software-stack-under-and-over-the-hood-of-the-fastest-accelerating-car-in-the-world) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Résumé-Driven Development: How IT trends affect the job market for software developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/59-resume-driven-development-how-it-trends-affect-the-job-market-for-software-developers) - [Everything a Developer Needs to Know About MCP with Neo4j](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/604-everything-a-developer-needs-to-know-about-mcp-with-neo4j) - [Events like RSAC Get You CISOs.
