## About the Role

* Experience as a Linux Systems Engineer or Administrator
 * Experience with RHEL-8 and 9
 * Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Hypervisor, and KVM
 * Experience with shell scripting and automation such as Bash, Python, and Ansible
 * Knowledge of changes in RHEL-10
 * Knowledge of system hardening and security best practices, and networking concepts including IPv4, SSH, and Firewalls
 * Knowledge of monitoring and cyber security tools including ACAS Security Center , Evaluate STIG, STIG Viewer, and Nessus Scanner
 * Knowledge of containerization such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
 * Secret clearance
 * HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

 * Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
 * Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response frameworks
 * Bachelor's degree in science
 * Red Hat Engineer Certification

## Description

* Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux ( RHEL ) systems across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
 * Apply system updates, patches and configuration changes to maintain cyber posture.
 * Write and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guides.
 * C ond uct Nessus Scans for vulnerability assessments monthly and submit reports of findings.
 * Apply Secure Technical Implementation Guides to RHEL and Windows systems and document all configuration changes.
 * Manage system licensing and registering system on Red Hat customer portal.
 * Install and configure Linux based applications and sof tware such as NGINX, MediaMTX, and Redis DB.
