Must Have Government & Lead Experience

Essential Skills & Experience

 * Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
 * Strong expertise with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
 * Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
 * Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
 * Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
 * Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
 * Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.
 * Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineering teams.
 * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

 * Experience working in government or large-scale public sector environments.
 * Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
 * Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
 * Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
 * Knowledge of accessibility and security standards within government digital services.
 * Experience with test automation frameworks and TDD practices.
