Business Acumen: Ability to manage section budget performance, support sales efforts, and contribute to Division goals. ## Description MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Product Engineering Section Manager to lead engineering activities for IT Cooling solutions supporting the growing data center market. In this role, you'll oversee product engineering, design validation, testing, documentation, field issue resolution, and team development for advanced cooling technologies. This is a leadership role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in data center cooling, thermal management, HVAC, or liquid cooling systems, along with experience leading engineering teams and cross-functional product development efforts. What You'll Do Lead Product Engineering: Direct engineering activities for IT Cooling products from planning and design through testing, commissioning, and in-service support. Develop New Cooling Solutions: Lead the development, validation, and release of new data center cooling products, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, quality, and schedule expectations. Support Technical Problem Solving: Partner with Quality Assurance, Service, suppliers, and Product Management to troubleshoot and resolve field, supplier, customer, and vendor-related technical issues. Oversee Testing & Evaluation: Guide laboratory testing and on-site engineering evaluations while mentoring project leads to ensure technical objectives and schedules are met. Manage & Develop Talent: Lead, coach, train, and develop the IT Cooling Engineering team while supporting performance reviews, salary input, and continuing education opportunities. Support Sales & Customer Needs: Assist with customer specification reviews, bid schedule reviews, technical risk assessments, and solution scoping. Drive Process Improvement: Maintain and improve configuration management, documentation, and data retention processes to improve engineering efficiency and task completion.
