These will not be assessed throughout the recruitment process but will be used in the event of tied scores between candidates. * Previous experience in a Change Management and/or Continuous Improvement environment * Understanding of POAS and/or Supervision business areas, processes, and ways of working. ## Description The roles are within the Business Design, Development & Delivery Team (BD3), a specialist operational team under the Digital Service Owner that focuses on managing business-as-usual (BAU) changes to operational teams and delivering larger transformational projects. The BAU work includes providing solutions to operational issues, implementing new policies, and continuous improvement (CI) of operational processes and digital systems., The roles will be responsible for: * Delivering on an upgrade schedule to replace MS Excel-based tools used by operational staff with MS Power Platform solutions.Working * ly with MoJ Power Platform team to understand functionality, learn how to build, test, and implement solutions. * Maintaining and fixing legacy Excel-based IT solutions across Power of Attorney Services (POAS) or Supervision. These existing tools are vital for the business but have been built by a number of users over the years and are in a variety of different maintenance states. * Working with Business Change experts to maintain and develop these products in an agile way, ensuring maximum benefit is released for minimum risk and user feedback informs iteration and improvement of products. * Collaboration with the Continuous Improvement, Implementation, Operational, Policy, and other stakeholders to build digital tools that add value and efficiency to our service. * The roles may be required to manage an Associate Small Systems Analyst (EO) and be responsible for their development in the same field of expertise. T are two roles, one will be focusing on the POAS operational area, and the other will be focusing on the Supervision operational area. For this reason, travel between sites will be required. Agreed Expectations The successful candidate will be expected to work from their base location on a weekly basis in line with current Civil Service requirements, outside of any reasonable adjustments. Interview Process If you are successful at sift, you will be invited to an interview which will use the Civil Service Success Profiles. At interview, candidates should expect questions on: * Strengths relevant to the role * The following Behaviours at HEO Level: + Changing and Improving + Delivering at Pace * You will be asked to complete a practical assessment during your interview against your technical knowledge of MS Excel and Power Platform. This will be invigilated and you will be expected to have your camera on and share your screen during the assessment. The panel will ask follow up questions. All interviews will be held remotely via MS Teams. Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview., The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements w business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and / or from home (please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas). All employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity. Some roles will not be suitable for Hybrid Working. Similarly, Hybrid Working will not suit everyone's circumstances. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate(s) and subject to regular review. For nationally advertised roles: All successful candidates will be appointed to the nearest viable office nearest to their home postcode and on its respective pay scale. This will be at either a HQ building (subject to desk allocation, a Justice Collaboration Centre (JCC) or a Justice Satellite Office (JSO) - See Map. All employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity). For current MoJ employees, your base location will need to be changed to the nearest viable office (to your home postcode), either at a HQ building, JCC or JSO within the National Office Network and moved its location's respective pay scale (any legacy arrangements/locations will need to be amended). Some of MoJ's terms and conditions of service are changing as part of Civil Service reform. The changes will apply to staff joining MoJ who are new to the Civil Service. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on 'modernised' terms in their current post or onto 'unmodernised' MoJ terms if they are on 'unmodernised' terms at their current post. Details will be available if an offer is made. MoJ candidates who are on a specialist grade, will be able to retain their grade on lateral transfer. All candidates who are currently in receipt of Mark Time / Pay Protection should ensure they are familiar with the new policy on permanent and temporary promotion which can be found on the employee intranet. Flexible working hours The Ministry of Justice offers a flexible working system in many offices. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. MoJ welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, w they meet the demands of the role and business needs.
