Desired skills, but not required: + Performance & Systems expertise + Linux profiling, benchmarking, and bottleneck resolution. + x86-64, ARM, Containers (Docker), and KVM virtualization. + Industry knowledge: Open source, automotive software, and ISO 26262. ## Description The Red Hat Performance and Scale Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive critical, OS-level performance testing and optimization work for Red Hat In-vehicle OS (RHIVOS). You will leverage deep technical expertise in RHEL and RHIVOS, including kernel tuning and performance benchmarking, to ensure RHIVOS meets the performance domains within the automotive industry. This role requires an engineer capable of taking full ownership of projects, working independently to develop and implement performance strategies, and presenting technical data and analysis directly to key internal and external customers and stakeholders. You will be instrumental in ensuring RHIVOS meets stringent performance and scale requirements, contributing to a vibrant open source culture and promoting innovation within Red Hat engineering.
