You will work on everything from low-level kernel and GPU optimizations to high-performance dedicated clusters and serverless APIs. By engineering every layer of the infrastructure, we ensure that state-of-the-art models - across LLMs, image, audio, and video - run at peak efficiency on a global scale. We are looking for Software Engineers to help us build a developer-first, vertically integrated platform that simplifies the entire AI lifecycle. You must be currently located in and able to work 3 days per week in the DigitalOcean office we are building in Seattle. What You'll Do: * Feature Development: Write production grade Go and Python to solve the "unit economics" of AI- optimizing how we monetize a single GPU across multiple abstraction layers. * Performance Engineering: Implement and experiment with prefix caching, batch inferencing, and model quantization to reduce TCO for our customers. * Model Integration: Assist in the development of model catalogs and automated benchmarking tools to help customers move their models from experimentation to production. * Operational Excellence: Help manage a global GPU footprint, ensuring 99.9% uptime for mission-critical production workloads. * Continuous Learning: Collaborate with senior engineers to learn complex system architectures and contribute to high-density GPU orchestration., This position will be evaluating candidates for Software Engineer II/Senior Software Engineer based on prior experience * Software Engineer II role, the base salary range will be $113,000 - $142,000 * Senior Software Engineer role, the base salary range will be $139,000 - $174,000 ## Related Videos - [The Evolving Landscape of Application Development: Insights from Three Years of Research](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1459-the-evolving-landscape-of-application-development-insights-from-three-years-of-research) - [Docker Compose: Rediscovered](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1978-docker-compose-rediscovered) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Understanding Kubernetes in a visual way](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100085-understanding-kubernetes-in-a-visual-way) - [Microservices: how to get started with Spring Boot and Kubernetes](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/242-microservices-how-to-get-started-with-spring-boot-and-kubernetes) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [MLOps And AI Driven Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/82-mlops-and-ai-driven-development) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [20 Essential Tools For Backend Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/218-20-essential-tools-for-backend-development) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer)
