## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
 * Strong knowledge of security principles, standards, and best practices
 * Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners
 * Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR
 * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 * Ability to work independently and in a team environment
 * Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, Security+) are a plus

## Description

* Monitor and analyze security logs and events to identify and respond to potential security incidents
 * Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to protect company data and systems
 * Perform regular security testing and vulnerability scanning to identify and remediate any weaknesses
 * Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all systems and processes
 * Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and make recommendations for improvements to our security posture
 * Conduct employee training and awareness programs to promote a culture of security within the organization
 * Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning and testing
 * Document and maintain accurate records of security incidents and remediation actions
 * Assist with regulatory compliance efforts and maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
