Physical Requirements:

 * Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
 * Work performed in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles
 * Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required
 * Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of time
 * Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level
 * Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding

## Description

* The Broadband Network Technician I is responsible for detecting, troubleshooting and resolving system outages for data, video, and telephone.
 * This role will be responsible for emergency restoration of coax, underground cable, maintenance of power supply, leakage and splicing.
 * The BNT I is required to maintain documentation as needed.
 * This role participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
 * Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.
 * Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage
 * Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment
 * Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations
 * Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities
 * Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs
 * Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
 * Other duties as assigned
