Partnering with various government departments to help business leaders obtain the key information and insights needed to guide their organizations to new accomplishments. We're looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to design, build, and maintain our core cloud infrastructure. This will support DHS CBP and you'll be the go-to expert for all things related to GCP's foundational services, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and reliable. If you have a deep knowledge of GCP's networking, storage, database and security features, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: * Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud. * Manage core GCP services, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, firewalls, and routing tables. * Configure and maintain GCP storage solutions like Cloud Storage, Filestore, and Persistent Disk. * Oversee identity and access management (IAM) to ensure the principle of least privilege is applied. * Manage and operate cloud-native database services such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Bigtable, including performance tuning and high-availability configuration. * Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure costs. * Manage container orchestration platforms such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). * Collaborate with development teams to ensure their applications have the necessary infrastructure resources. * Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
