Preferred Certifications * CISSP; CCSK, CCSP, CEH, CySA+, GIAC, GSEC (or other ISACA or SANS advanced certifications) * AWS or Azure; CCNA; * RedHat certified security specialist * Fortinet Specialist, Palo Alto Specialist, or Checkpoint Engineer level certifications. ## Description Do you want your cybersecurity work to protect critical public services and help shape the future of AI in government? Miami-Dade County's Enterprise Security Office is looking for an IT Security Systems Engineer to help strengthen enterprise security, support modern security tools, and advance automation and AI-enabled defense. In this role, you will: * Support AI and automation initiatives tied to security operations * Work with teams across the enterprise to reduce risk * Improve and support enterprise security systems * Help deploy modern cybersecurity technologies * Review access to systems and applications We are looking for someone with experience in enterprise security systems, strong technical judgment, and interest in emerging cybersecurity and AI capabilities. This is a chance to do meaningful work at scale, protect essential services, and contribute to the security of one of the largest county governments in the country.
