You will lead a team of builders responsible for designing, building, and operating services that power Agentic WorkSpaces for different personas. You will define the technical direction for your team, drive architectural decisions that balance innovation with operational rigor, and ensure your services meet the highest bar for availability, latency, and security. You are customer-obsessed, technically deep, and energized by building high-performing teams. You think big about what the workspace of the future looks like, and then you build the team and systems to get there. You thrive in ambiguity, make sound trade-off decisions with incomplete information, and hold yourself and your team accountable for delivering results that matter. You want to solve challenging problems in identity, AI, and desktop platform engineering at a scale that impacts millions of users daily. Key job responsibilities Defining and delivering on long-term product and architecture strategy for Agentic WorkSpaces services within your domain, Translate an 18-month, multi-phase roadmap into executable engineering plans with clear milestones, owners, and decision points. Partner with Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q teams, and peer organizations to ensure the WorkSpaces agentic architecture leverages and contributes to shared AWS agentic infrastructure. Work effectively with other teams to accomplish goals, earning trust by driving discussions that result in impactful decisions for the business and architecture. Lead the design and implementation of the authorization, trust hierarchy, and governance framework that makes autonomous agent action safe in enterprise environments, including audit trails, rollback mechanisms, and human-in-the-loop controls. Operational ownership of low-latency, high-availability services used by over one million WorkSpaces users globally. Ensure your team's services meet stringent SLAs across multiple production regions and OS variants, with autonomous troubleshooting and proactive issue resolution before customers are impacted. Recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, retaining, and performance management for a best-in-class engineering team. Build a team of builders who are technically excellent, customer-obsessed, and capable of delivering complex distributed systems in the identity, AI, and desktop platform space. Communicating development, quality, operations, and system performance to senior leadership. Establish metrics, mechanisms, and reporting cadences that give leadership confidence in delivery health, from weekly execution reviews to S-Team goal reporting. Ownership and continuous improvement of all operational metrics and automation tools for your team's software. Drive engineering excellence through instrumentation, automated testing, deployment automation, and operational runbooks that enable your team to ship features simultaneously across Windows and Linux. Executing against project plans and delivery commitments; managing day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment. Establish a culture fueled with customer-obsessed innovation and engineering excellence. Foster a team environment where builders think big about the agentic era, experiment boldly with AI-powered capabilities, and hold themselves to the highest standards of security, performance, and code quality. Ensure identity and security objectives are met without imposing a performance tax on agent workflows. ## Related Videos - [Navigating the Corporate Jungle: Life as a Developer in a large Company](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/621-navigating-the-corporate-jungle-life-as-a-developer-in-a-large-company) - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) - [Are Code Reviews Worth It?
