This role contributes scripting and automation to improve efficiency, assists in deploying secure-by-default technologies, and collaborates with senior engineers to strengthen NetJets' security posture. The engineer contributes technical expertise to projects, helps maintain security controls, and researches new approaches to enhance cybersecurity capabilities. This position works closely with Senior and Staff Engineers, Platform Owners, Networking, and Cloud Engineering teams. Tasks and Responsibilities Platform Operations & Security Controls * Support the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and tuning of enterprise security platforms, including secure access, endpoint protection, email security/DLP, and vulnerability management solutions. * Help maintain platform health by validating policy changes, monitoring alerts, and troubleshooting issues across cloud and on-prem environments. * Perform recurring assessments of endpoint security, secure access services, email security, and vulnerability exposure. Cloud Security & Infrastructure-as-Code * Assist in configuring AWS security services and maintaining cloud security controls. * Contribute to building and updating infrastructure-as-code templates (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK) under guidance from senior engineers. * Participate in cloud security reviews to ensure consistent application of secure configurations. Automation, Scripting & Engineering Practices * Develop and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate security tasks, workflows, and integrations. * Work with Git repositories and IDEs (e.g., VS Code) to maintain scripting artifacts and IaC components following secure coding best practices. * Support integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems through APIs and automation workflows. Collaboration, Response & Continuous Improvement * Participate in incident response activities, including investigation support, data gathering, and coordination with platform owners for remediation. * Stay current on cybersecurity threats, cloud security practices, and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the team. * Maintain documentation such as runbooks, standard operating procedures, and platform guides. * Work with project teams to implement security requirements and ensure consistent configuration of controls.
