## About the Role

* 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
 * 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
 * 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
 * Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team, * 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
 * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
 * Hands-on experience with eBPF/XDP for packet processing, observability, or security enforcement
 * Experience with DPDK, AF_XDP, or other kernel-bypass frameworks

## Description

* Design and build high-performance DDoS mitigation systems operating in the kernel fast-path and userspace data plane
 * Develop eBPF/XDP programs for early-stage packet filtering and traffic classification at wire speed
 * Extend our DPDK-based packet processor with new mitigation primitives (SYN proxying, rate shaping, connection tracking)
 * Analyze attack traffic patterns and translate observations into automated, scalable defenses
 * Own the full lifecycle - from design through production operation - of security-critical infrastructure serving global traffic
 * Collaborate with AWS Shield, CloudFront, and networking teams on coordinated mitigation strategies
