Data analyst salary in Austria is lower compared with analysts working in Germany but still a little higher than those working in the UK. ## Salary by Experience

These averages have been collected from Glassdoor and are most likely skew on the high end. Are entry level data analysts actually earning€50,000? It’s possible — but what’s more likely is that inexperienced analysts earning something in or around €40k as a starting salary. On the senior side, the salary is probably more accurate, €60k for a data analyst with over 5 years of experience with the possibility of management responsibilities.

Vienna, being the capital, pays the highest on average followed by Graz and Salzburg. Location is a tricky because it’s not the most accurate metric — one city, like Vienna, might have the largest proportion of jobs and therefore the average skews higher. But larger cities usually come with higher living costs.
