About This Session
Modern data platforms are powerful—but fragile. One silent schema change, one null spike, or one inconsistent definition can cascade into broken dashboards, incorrect forecasts, and costly business decisions. In this talk, I’ll share how data quality functions as a first-class system in enterprise data platforms, not an afterthought. Drawing from real-world experience building and operating Schneider Electric’s Data Quality Platform using Informatica Cloud, AWS EC2, and Redshift Serverless, I’ll walk through how data quality rules, defect tracking, and governance fit into the end-to-end data supply chain. This session focuses on how data quality actually works at scale, where it belongs in modern architectures, and why experienced engineers should treat it as critical infrastructure—not cleanup work.
