After studying Technical Physics and Business Administration, Wolfgang Platz began his professional journey as a software developer. While working on Austria’s largest IT insurance project, he quickly recognized the vital role of software testing. This insight led him to pioneer a new, no-code approach to test automation, empowering business users to take part in the testing process. In 2007, he founded Tricentis, which went on to become Austria’s first unicorn, boasting over 1,000 employees, $450 million in revenue, and a valuation of $4.5 billion. Today, Wolfgang mentors emerging companies, helping them navigate the complexities of the business world. One of his greatest rewards is seeing those he has guided grow into leadership positions. He remains at the forefront of modern technology, having delivered keynotes on cutting-edge topics such as blockchain, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
