Job description
As the senior data leader, you will build and mentor cross-functional teams, refine data governance practices, and serve as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and key clients navigating complex data challenges., As the Head of Data & Analytics, you will:
- Define and implement the consultancy's data strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and client needs.
- Lead the development and optimisation of the Snowflake-based data warehouse, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across multiple client engagements.
- Build and manage high-performing teams across data engineering, BI, and analytics.
- Establish and maintain strong data governance, quality, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with partners and project leads to deliver data solutions that drive measurable outcomes for clients.
- Drive innovation through modern tooling, data automation, and advanced analytics methodologies.
- Represent the consultancy as a subject matter expert in proposals, pitches, and client advisory sessions.
Technical Environment
You will work with:
- Snowflake (core data warehouse platform)
- dbt / SQL / Python
- BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- CI/CD, orchestration, and automation frameworks
Requirements
You will be a strong fit for this role if you bring:
- Proven leadership experience within consultancy or multi-client delivery environments.
- In-depth expertise designing and scaling data solutions on Snowflake.
- Strong command of data modelling, ELT/ETL patterns, and BI ecosystems.
- Strategic vision combined with the ability to be hands-on when required.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, particularly with executive and client audiences.
- A track record of building and developing high-performing data teams.
- Fluent English; German is advantageous but not essential.
