As a Platform Engineer at Realworks, you'll tackle every challenge head-on when it comes to designing, building, and improving our self-service infrastructure. Thousands of brokers rely on our platform to simplify their workflows and with your drive and technical know-how, you'll elevate that foundation to new heights. You'll support other teams to craft best-in-class deployment workflows and guide them through any infrastructure questions. In this role, you'll collaborate on both the architecture and ongoing evolution of our platform, while leading innovative projects that make our environment ever more robust and user-friendly.
What you'll do:
- Automate and scale our infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible and Kustomize;
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD, Spinnaker and Jenkins;
- Deploy and manage on-premises Kubernetes clusters;
- Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry and ELK/EFK;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and support their deployment workflows;
- Troubleshoot incidents and performance issues across our distributed systems.
Your team
You'll join a brand-new, four-person Platform Team made up of an AWS Specialist, two DevOps Engineers and a System Administrator. Together, you'll lay the groundwork for our self-service infrastructure, with every voice heard and knowledge shared.
Requirements
- You have experience as a Platform or DevOps engineer, with a proven trackrecord in infrastructure-as-code and distributed systems;
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native platforms on-premises and in AWS;
- Kubernetes expertise: managing, scaling and tuning clusters for rock-solid reliability;
- Advanced scripting and automation skills in Java, Python, Go and Bash;
- Proficiency in configuration management and provisioning with Ansible, Terraform and Kustomize;
- Ownership of CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, Spinnaker and Jenkins;
- You possess intermediate network design knowledge, enabling you to plan and implement efficient, secure connectivity across our infrastructure;
- Deep knowledge of observability and messaging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, VictoriaMetrics, Kafka and ActiveMQ.
