Job description

Working on the Work Management team at Uber means building the connective tissue for how thousands of people move projects from "idea" to "impact." We own the platforms-Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Rovo) and beyond-that power Uber's engineering and business engines.

This isn't a role for someone who just wants to manage a ticket queue. It's for a strategist who can navigate the messy reality of enterprise-scale digitization. You will be the bridge between complex business needs and technical delivery, often making hard trade-offs between custom requests and platform stability. The pace is fast, the environment is high-stakes, and the ambiguity is constant. If you thrive on turning chaos into structured, AI-enabled workflows and aren't afraid to own the outcome of a 50,000-user deployment, you'll grow here.

What You'll Do

  • Navigate Complexity: Lead high-impact, AI-enabled digitization programs across the Atlassian Cloud portfolio, ensuring initiatives land on time even when priorities shift.
  • Bridge the Gap: Translate vague business problems into precise technical requirements, partnering with developers to design solutions that are secure, scalable, and actually usable.
  • Drive AI Adoption: Implement and optimize Atlassian Rovo and automated workflows, helping teams move faster by leveraging GenAI in their daily operations.
  • Own the Documentation: Build and maintain the source of truth for workflows and system configurations, ensuring clarity in a rapidly evolving ecosystem.
  • Influence Without Authority: Align diverse stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations, navigating tension to ensure platform best practices are met.
  • Unblock Teams: Proactively identify and resolve friction within Jira and Confluence setups before they become global disruptions.
  • Measure What Matters: Use data and analytics to track program performance, identifying where users are struggling and where we need to pivot for better adoption.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UX?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * 10+ years of experience in the Atlassian ecosystem as a Program Manager or Business Analyst, specifically leading complex process digitization.

  • Atlassian Cloud Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Cloud system design at scale.
  • AI & Automation Fluency: Hands-on experience with Atlassian Rovo and Automation to optimize business processes.
  • Stakeholder Mastery: Proven ability to facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical audiences while prioritizing security and UX.
  • GenAI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted tools (e.g., LLMs, workflow automation) to accelerate project planning and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at Scale: Supporting large-scale Atlassian deployments with 50,000+ users.
  • Technical Depth: Experience with Groovy/ScriptRunner to implement custom business logic.
  • Agent Design: Hands-on experience creating and managing Atlassian Rovo agents.
  • Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
