Job description

At Ad4Octogo we are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a deep understanding of automation frameworks, SaaS environments, and modern SDLC practices., + Own and evolve the automation testing frameworks and architecture

Design and write moderately complex automated test scripts
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure testing is embedded throughout the SDLC
Promote and implement reusable test case design strategies
Identify common application behaviors and translate them into scalable automated tests
Drive adoption of unit, integration, and system testing practices
Implement and monitor code coverage metrics
Develop and promote bug prevention strategies and quality improvement initiatives
Advocate for quality-first development practices across teams

Requirements

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to drive quality across the organization., + 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance

5+ years of experience in test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
2+ years of experience in automated testing using JavaScript / NodeJS
Hands-on experience with Selenium
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber preferred)
Experience testing SaaS products
Strong experience in black-box and white-box testing
Demonstrated attention to detail
Strong desire to learn and adopt new technologies
Advanced English proficiency

Nice to Have

10+ years of relevant experience in software testing within large-scale SaaS environments
Experience building 10+ automated test suites
3+ years developing test automation in JavaScript
Experience with BDD, Cucumber, Selenium, and/or Chimp
Experience with Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Bamboo, Jenkins)
Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio Code or JetBrains (IntelliJ)
Strong coding skills
Experience with log monitoring systems such as Splunk
