£600 p/d Location: Remote ad-hoc attendance in London office We are looking for a Physical Security Design Engineer to support the design and review of physical security systems across four buildings in London. This role will involve reviewing architectural drawings, analysing contractor proposals, producing design markups, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Review floor plans, architectural drawings, and CAD layouts to support physical security design requirements. Create and update design markups and layouts using CAD and document review tools. Analyse contractor proposals and specifications, reviewing and assessing specified products. Apply client physical security design standards across projects and locations. Develop physical security design solutions, including layouts, markups, and supporting documentation. Conduct detailed analysis of site floor plans and work with local Facilities Management teams to understand location-specific requirements and constraints. Review and assess vendor submissions, ensuring solutions meet project and client requirements. Work closely with vendors and contractors to clarify specifications and ensure accurate implementation of security designs. Liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders, including Project Managers, operational teams, and external agencies. Provide updates and reporting to internal teams, balancing project priorities and design requirements. Maintain an enthusiastic approach to learning new security standards, technologies, and specialist design information. Skills & Experience: Experience reviewing architectural drawings and floor plans. Experience creating design markups and layout reviews. Understanding of physical security design principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills when reviewing technical documentation and vendor submissions.
