Job description

We are looking to recruit an Administrator/Note Taker for one of our Children, Young People and Learning (CYPL) teams based in the South of the County. As an administrator, you will provide a customer focused and efficient administrative service, prioritising your daily tasks in accordance with team requirements and service objectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a range of administrative tasks to a high standard of quality within agreed timescales. These are likely to include tasks such as data entry, filing, arranging meetings and sending agendas, collating information, updating spreadsheets, ordering stationery, processing applications and updating council IT systems.

Some of these opportunities will also include tasks such as note taking at complex (often sensitive and / or confidential) meetings, arranging large scale events and meetings, co-ordinating statutory panels, collating and presenting information in a clear format, preparing reports and agendas, producing accurate meeting minutes and spreadsheets, and updating council IT systems to support service delivery., To apply, please follow the links below to upload your CV and Cover Letter. Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be a great team player who can build and maintain good working relationships and who can communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to produce accurate meeting minutes, non-standard correspondence and reports as well as being able to process financial details and figures.
  • Be organised, able to prioritise work and deliver on deadlines.
  • Have excellent accuracy and attention to detail and have strong core administrative/office skills.
  • Have excellent IT skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
  • Be both adaptable and flexible, you will enjoy the challenge this role will give you to meet service needs, where you will be able to work well in changing situations and embrace new ways of working positively and effectively.
