Cloud Operations Engineer I

Kiteworks is a highly profitable and growing software company making a meaningful impact in the security and compliance space. We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and scale the cloud infrastructure powering our platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving reliability and observability, and contributing to modern DevOps and infrastructure practices across the organization. What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure primarily in AWS
• Build and improve infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to support reliable software delivery
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across the stack
• Support infrastructure performance, reliability, and security best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response / operations rotations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and infrastructure workflows
• Contribute to architecture decisions and strategic infrastructure initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations across teams

• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitLab

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Strong Linux systems knowledge

• Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability tooling

• Understanding of infrastructure migrations / modernization efforts

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems

• Passion for learning new technologies and continuously improving systems Nice to Have

• Experience with Python and/or Bash scripting

• Familiarity with ArgoCD

• Understanding of email security concepts, Ability to meet Kiteworks, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role.
