Job description

This role is responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications, focusing on functionality, accessibility, usability, and performance. The candidate will report to the Quality Assurance IT Manager., * Gain a full understanding of the CT Paid Leave platform

  • Design and maintain comprehensive test cases covering all application functionality
  • Perform testing across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices
  • Execute functional and non-functional testing including smoke, regression, performance, accessibility, and API/integration testing
  • Conduct accessibility testing using tools such as NVDA, Axe, or JAWS
  • Utilize automated testing tools to improve test efficiency and coverage
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira; perform root cause analysis and validate fixes
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and improve user experience
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Provide demos (live or recorded) to stakeholders as needed
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute QA insights throughout the development lifecycle
  • Identify opportunities to enhance testing through automation in coordination with QA leadership and DevOps teams
  • Promote a consistent, accessible, and intuitive user experience
  • Engage in remote work, including participation in video calls

Requirements

Do you have experience in Zoom?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of experience in IT operations, programming, or software development
  • 3+ years of experience in QA testing, * Experience with smoke, regression, accessibility, and performance testing
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into testing strategies
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Salesforce and Mulesoft
  • Experience with automated testing tools
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, DevOps, and Xray, * Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Software troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
