Job description
As a Business Integration Engineer - Vehicle Homologation, you will lead the transition from paper-based Certificates of Conformity to Electronic Certificates of Conformity in compliance with EU Vehicle Certification Agency mandates effective July-November 2026 and beyond.
You will serve as the strategic link between homologation teams, IT, engineering groups, and regulatory bodies - translating complex regulatory requirements into structured, automated, and scalable digital workflows covering both manual portal submissions and automated system integration. What You'll Do
- Facilitate the end-to-end implementation of electronic Certificate of Conformity submission processes, ensuring business readiness ahead of the yearly regulation changes and monthly new type approvals for new model variants.
- Shadow EMEA registration teams to map existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and drive automation opportunities - including structured data file generation, digital signature processes, and system integration.
- Translate regulatory and business requirements into clear user stories, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Bridge homologation, IT, and external regulatory parties to ensure coordinated and compliant deliveries.
- Identify and support the transformation of repetitive manual tasks into automated or AI-assisted processes, leveraging experience with structured data formats, schema validation, and intelligent tooling.
- Build and maintain a centralized knowledge hub, track key performance indicators, and manage risks and dependencies across regulatory milestones.
- Serve as the primary support contact for internal users on submission tooling, homologation portal access, and escalations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * Background in Vehicle Homologation, Type Approval, or Automotive Regulatory affairs, with direct familiarity with Certificate of Conformity processes.
- Modereate years of experience in business analysis, process integration, or regulatory implementation.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical regulatory language into actionable requirements.
- Proven experience leading stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process discovery sessions.
- Excellent communication skills in English/German/others and experience with project management tools such as Jira.
- Experience with structured data formats, xml schema validation, or automated system integration.
- Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, or intelligent automation like robotic process automation.
- Knowledge of European electronic Certificate of Conformity systems or equivalent international vehicle data standards.
