Job description
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Senior Confluent Kafka Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, reliable, and secure event streaming architectures. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud computing, system design, and microservices to develop innovative solutions that enhance data integration and real-time processing capabilities across diverse enterprise environments. Your leadership will drive the adoption of best practices in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and service-oriented architecture, empowering our organization to stay at the forefront of digital transformation., * Lead the architecture and deployment of Confluent Kafka platforms integrated with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and Rackspace to support high-volume data streaming.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions utilizing cloud infrastructure tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenStack to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop microservices-based architectures using RESTful APIs, JavaScript, Python, Java, and other programming languages aligned with Agile SDLC methodologies.
- Implement security protocols compliant with FedRAMP standards while managing VPNs, cloud security configurations, and encryption techniques to safeguard sensitive data.
- Develop automation scripts for software deployment and system management using PowerShell, Bash shell scripting, Chef, Puppet, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Oversee database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server with expertise in T-SQL and PL/SQL for data storage solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by integrating DevOps practices to streamline application development and deployment cycles.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Web services design?, * Extensive experience in solution architecture with a focus on cloud computing platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, VMware, OpenStack, and Rackspace.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing event streaming platforms using Confluent Kafka within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Docker along with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet for efficient environment provisioning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby on Rails; familiarity with RESTful API development is essential.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components including operating systems (Linux/Windows), web services (REST/SOAP), NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with security standards such as FedRAMP; experience implementing VPNs and cloud security best practices is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable system designs for IoT applications or microservices architectures using modern DevOps methodologies.
