Job description
Serve as Ericsson's lead representative in standardization bodies including 3GPP SA5, O-RAN WG1/WG2, and TM Forum, focusing on intent-based cellular network design, optimization, and closed-loop automation. Drive technical contributions in areas such as intent-based networking, MLOps, agentic systems, digital twins, knowledge management, conflict management and closed-loop automation. Define and lead the rApp-related standardization strategy, ensuring alignment with internal rApp development and productization goals. Represent Ericsson in industry discussions on Gen-AI, agentic architectures, and their relevance to 6G evolution. Analyse technology trends, identify gaps, and proactively draft/review technical proposals for inclusion in industry standards. Act as a key liaison between standardization efforts and internal product teams to ensure implementation alignment. Requirements
leadership through white papers, conference presentations, and technical publications to reinforce Ericsson's industry leadership. * The skills you bring: 15+ years of experience in the telecom industry, with deep expertise in RAN features, interfaces, and data sets. Strong theoretical and practical understanding of AI techniques, including: Transformers Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) Bayesian probabilistic graphical models Deep autoencoders Machine reasoning techniques Reinforcement learning Generative AI Explainable AI Hands-on experience in rApp design or development is a strong plus. Proven track record of participation and leadership in 3GPP SA5, O-RAN WG1/WG2, and/or TM Forum. Experience in agentic architectures is considered a strong plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence technical consensus in standardization forums.
