Benefact Group are looking for an Azure Platform Operations Engineer to join our Gloucester office.
As an Azure Platform Operations Engineer you will be responsible for the operational management, maintenance, and improvement of core Azure shared platform services. You will contribute to stable platform operations, collaborates with architects and senior engineers, and provides guidance to application teams within defined patterns and standards

What you'll be doing
- Operate and maintain hybrid connectivity services (ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Private DNS Resolver).
- Support hybrid authentication services including Entra ID and Azure VM Domain Controllers.
- Support day-to-day operations of Azure API Management and Application Gateway/WAF.
- Assist with configuration, policy updates, and routine platform changes.
- Implement and maintain Azure Policy assignments and security guard rails.
- Maintain monitoring and alerting configurations for shared services using Azure Monitor, AMBA, and Dynatrace.
- Deliver platform changes using Azure Bicep, PowerShell/CLI, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Requirements
- Considerable experience in cloud operations (Azure preferred) or platform engineering roles.
- Knowledge of API Management and Application Gateway/WAF configuration.
- Solid troubleshooting and analysis skills.
- Strong documentation and communication abilities., * Networking basics (vNets, routing, NSGs, Firewalls), hybrid connectivity, and private DNS.
- Understanding of Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, RBAC.
- Proficiency with IaC (Bicep), scripting (PowerShell/CLI), and Azure DevOps pipelines.
