Job description
- Supports the Company's networks
- Installs and integrates new network hardware and related applications.
- Maintains firmware, software, and hardware lifecycle for network equipment.
- Ensures network security and connectivity.
- Monitors network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and tests for weaknesses.
- Ensures network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
- Performs network address assignment.
- Specifies system requirements and design solutions.
- Researches and makes recommendations on system administration.
- Coordinates with vendors for escalated support and project execution.
- Supports the Network Administrator II in daily investigative and troubleshooting tasks,
- Responds to designated alert categories and escalates as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree and 1-3 years in any computer-related field, or equivalent overall experience.
- Strong understanding of network basics; TCP/IP, subnet masking, ports, routing, NAT, layer2/3 addressing, etc.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure and has experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Has knowledge and experience with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; automation/remote control products
- Experience with various types of computer systems, mobile devices and hardware/software components
- Cisco/Network certifications (CCNA, Network+, etc.) are a plus.

Travel Required:
