Job description
The IT Systems Manager reports to the IT Director and supports the organization's growth across all Consejo locations. This role ensures reliable IT operations, manages core infrastructure, and drives improvements within a hybrid environment. Responsibilities include overseeing systems, networks, and data security, implementing technical projects, and aligning IT initiatives with business goals. The position focuses primarily on systems administration and IT operations, with additional support for help desk needs and occasional supervision of IT staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who values security, compliance, and operational excellence, especially in HIPAA-regulated environments., * Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including identity, security, and compliance
- Oversee hybrid infrastructure (onpremises, cloud, Windows Server, virtualization)
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Maintain network systems (firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless)
- Support endpoint security and identity/access management
- Provide escalation support and assist end users across locations
- Support VoIP, devices, and daily IT operations
- Lead IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations
- Maintain documentation and recommend technology improvements
- Collaborate on strategy and ensure HIPAA compliance and security monitoring.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 5+ years of experience in systems administration, IT operations, or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience/certifications
- Strong Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure experience (Windows Server, virtualization)
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs)
- Experience with endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and support multisite environments
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Experience in HIPAA or compliancefocused environments preferred
- Familiarity with tools like Okta, VoIP systems, and IT monitoring/ticketing platforms
- Ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment with a proactive, securityfocused mindset
- Willingness to travel occasionally and support afterhours work as needed
