Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Data Center Technician - L2 & L3 in Social Circle, GA. The Data Center Technician L2/L3 is responsible for the installation, cabling, and maintenance of high-performance computing hardware within a hyperscale data center environment. The ideal candidate possesses specialized experience wiring GB200 and GB300 systems and has a strong background in hardware lifecycle management and structured cabling., * Perform complex hardware installation and precise wiring for GB200 and GB300 rack systems.

  • Execute scheduled data center Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) including device labeling and power connectivity.
  • Install, route, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling according to design schematics and industry standards.
  • Complete hardware support work orders involving troubleshooting, break-fix, and certification of network connectivity.
  • Provide advanced smart-hands assistance for high-density hardware deployments and multi-customer site support.
  • Maintain detailed and thorough documentation of infrastructure changes and cable schedules within management systems.
  • Perform asset management audits and maintain daily work logs to track hardware lifecycle and inventory.
  • Conduct physical inspections of data center suites for general health, power, cooling, and environmental hazards.
  • Coordinate equipment receiving and shipping including RMA processing and vendor escorts.
  • Follow site security protocols and safety standards to maintain a secure operating environment.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Telecommunications blueprint interpretation?, * 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data center operations or a similar technical infrastructure role.

  • Direct experience wiring and installing GB200 and GB300 series hardware components.
  • Proficiency in structured cabling practices, including fiber optic (SM/MM) and copper termination and testing.
  • Strong working knowledge of server and network hardware, including rack-mount switches and power distribution units.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex floor plans, network diagrams, and cabling schedules.
  • Experience with data center productivity tools and software, such as SSH, RDP, and DCIM platforms.
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC power principles and data center best practices for thermal management.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a mission-critical environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move equipment up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work in restricted or confined areas for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work at heights and safely utilize ladders.
  • Ability to see and distinguish different colors for cable identification and status light monitoring.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers for termination and hardware assembly.
  • Must be able to hear and recognize audible signals such as equipment alarms or dial tones.
