Job description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Tier 1 IT Support Technician to join our team. This entry-level IT role will serve as the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance with hardware, software, network connectivity, and user account issues., * Respond to employee IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Reset passwords and manage user access permissions
- Install, configure, and deploy workstations, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and Windows operating systems
- Document support activities, solutions, and procedures within the ticketing system
- Escalate more complex technical issues to higher-level IT support personnel
- Assist with maintaining IT inventory and tracking company technology assets
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and software updates
- Support end users with professionalism, patience, and strong customer service
- Assist with basic IT infrastructure projects, including running network cable, installing drop connections, mounting and supporting wireless access points, and setting up network-connected devices
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, The ideal candidate will have foundational IT training through a technical program, community college, certification path (such as CompTIA), or prior experience in a similar support role. Manufacturing IT experience is a plus but not required. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset., * Associate degree, technical certification, or formal IT training preferred
- Previous experience in an IT support or help desk environment preferred
- Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal education or certifications
- Manufacturing industry IT experience is a plus, but not required, * Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic understanding of: Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Computer hardware and peripherals, Basic networking concepts
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests effectively
- Experience using or learning IT ticketing systems
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to learn and grow
