REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the General Manager, Warranty, Service & Training.
BACKGROUND: GapVax, Inc. is a Johnstown, PA manufacturer of vacuum trucks, municipal sewer cleaning trucks, trailer-mounted jetter equipment and related equipment.
The Warranty & Service Support position provides operational and administrative support to the Service & Warranty Department. This role assists in the coordination, documentation, and tracking of equipment repairs, refurbishment activities, and warranty evaluations for GapVax-manufactured equipment. This position has a collateral duty of supporting after-market efforts of the Product Development Team.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in the intake and processing of equipment entering the Service & Warranty Department for repair, refurbishment, or warranty evaluation.
· Create and maintain work orders and documentation.
· Track repair progress and update internal systems with relevant information.
· Assist with customer phone calls to troubleshoot issues with equipment in the field.
· Assist in verifying warranty eligibility based on company policies and equipment documentation.
· Coordinate communication between the service department, internal departments, and customers regarding repair status, parts requirements, and service timelines.
· Support preparation of service reports, warranty documentation, and repair summaries.
· Assist with scheduling and coordination of repairs.
· Support parts identification and documentation for service and warranty repairs.
· Perform additional administrative or operational duties within the Service & Warranty Department as assigned., Ability to move between office and shop environments and occasionally lift 40 pounds when assisting parts handling or other duties., · Must have working knowledge of safety requirements (ie. MSHA, NIOSH, OSHA, etc.) when needed to meet product specifications or customer requirements.

GENERAL:
· Maintain requirements of personnel file including participation in required safety training
· Accept and respond to constructive feedback and comply with directives from supervisor
· Review and accept terms and conditions as presented in the company handbook
· Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with all coworkers, visitors, and personnel
· Direct complaints or concerns to appropriate staff
· Incorporate safety policies and procedures into daily work practices
· Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
Do you have experience in Welding?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, · Strong organizational and documentation skills.
· Ability to interpret equipment documentation and service records.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to coordinate tasks across multiple departments.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal business systems.
· Ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain attention to detail.
· Basic understanding of mechanical equipment or industrial machinery preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience in service support, warranty administration, manufacturing support, or equipment repair environments preferred.
