Job description
The IT Specialist is responsible to manage and support the organization's technology systems and infrastructure. The IT Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining hardware and software systems, supporting end users, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT operations., * Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for employees and users
- Monitor system performance and ensure network security and data protection
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and password access
- Maintain servers, workstations, printers, and other IT equipment
- Assist with software updates, system upgrades, and technology deployments
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Document technical processes, support tickets, and inventory records
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments on IT-related projects
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT department experience?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support roles preferred
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Basic understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
- Experience with Active Directory, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and time management
- Ability to function and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation for light travel throughout Southern California
- May require lifting and carrying up to 50lbs of equipment
- Occasional after-hours support and travel to out of state locations, * IT support: 2 years (Required)
