Job description
The Systems Analyst will actively contribute to Information Technology (IT) system analysis and operations under general direction. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business-appropriate analysis to assist in providing solutions which will increase system functionality, data accessibility, user and organizational effectiveness. Assist in developing and documenting functional and performance specifications and test plans. Provide application support as well as subject matter guidance for various departmental applications., * Serve as a technical resource for various county systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and support systems and applications as necessary.
- Evaluate County processes to recommend, plan, and design solutions to meet specific business requirements.
- Continuously monitor systems/applications where applicable to identify issues, resolve issues, and ensure efficient operations.
- Create supporting documentation for business processes, systems, and applications.
- Provide support to the System Development team with analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and application support.
- Develop, test, and implement to ensure systems meet performance, functionality, and user requirements
- Assist third party vendors for system and application services support.
- Prepare and present pertinent project material.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * At least 6 months of employment with the York County IT department or 6 months of experience/training in system analysis and administration.
- Familiar with of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server, document repositories, ERP systems, file sharing, automation, and cloud hosted applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and staff from other County departments.
- Able to perform effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments.
- Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work well independently, manage projects and work well with other business units to accomplish project goals and deliverables.
- Understanding of York County Government's operational model, processes, and strategic goals.
- Completion of a Pennsylvania Criminal Background check and fingerprinting, required for all employees in this role.
- Possession of a valid and current driver's license
