Job description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician I helps make sure products meet quality and food safety standards. This role supports production by checking materials and finished goods, testing samples, monitoring processes, and keeping accurate records. The technician works with the team to identify and fix issues and ensure all food safety requirements are met.   • Collect and test product samples following set procedures.
  • Monitor production and perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet requirements.
  • Keep accurate and organized records of inspections and test results.
  • Review paperwork to make sure it is complete and meets company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and report quality or food safety issues; hold any product that does not meet standards and help resolve problems.
  • Follow all food safety programs, including HACCP and GMP.
  • Help with audits and support ongoing improvements.
  • Communicate with team members to address issues and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • At least 1 year of experience in food production, manufacturing, agriculture, or a similar environment.
  • Basic understanding of quality control and food safety practices.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and FDA or USDA regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to follow procedures, perform inspections, and keep accurate records.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, depending on business needs.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
