Job description
The Network Architect/Administrator position is responsible for providing support to U.S. Government architecture planning for network technical refresh and expansion efforts; procurement, installation and configuration of network client hardware/software; procurement of software licenses; installation and configuration of secure networks with associated communication security devices (COMSEC). The position will require operations support, maintenance, system administration, sustainment and training for enterprise network environments, Agile Client, and associated networked sites.
This position may be located at domestic or international project sites in support of U.S. Government programs and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design, technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking.
- At least three (3) years of experience supporting secure government, defense, diplomatic, or enterprise network environments.
- Three (3) years of experience as a system manager/integrator in integration and implementation of IEEE 802.3 LAN, IEEE 1703-2012 WAN and converged IP-services.
- Three (3) years specialized experience in enterprise and campus-wide WAN/LAN infrastructures.
- Experience with information sharing through email, web services, chat, COP services, and VoIP.
- BS degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Mathematics (or equivalent experience).
- DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (Security+).
- Current, unexpired U.S. Passport.
- Extensive experience with Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, VMware, and Cisco networking.
- Experience with cryptographic encryption devices and COMSEC administration.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Security+ and one Cisco certification or Network+.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP Windows 7, Cisco CCENT, Windows MCSA, ITILv3.
- Remedy Help Desk, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to lift equipment up to 40 lbs.
- Experience with enterprise imaging and deployment tools.
- Experience with SEWS, GCCS, Cisco Equipment, and Cryptography Devices.
- Strong cyber security and network transport knowledge.
- Experience with DNS, FTP, SSH, ACL, VLAN, DMZ, BGP.
- Experience with VPN technologies, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Experience implementing Cisco ASRs, ISRs, Catalysts, NXOS, and Nexus platforms.
- SharePoint administration experience.
Other Requirements
- Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of contract requirements.
- Availability for temporary or long-term assignments at project locations as required.
- Must maintain a valid U.S. Passport.
- Travel may be required to support customer sites, project implementation, training, and sustainment activities.
