Job description
Our client is undertaking a large-scale network infrastructure replacement and migration initiative across multiple data closets. We are seeking 1-2 technicians to support this effort by coordinating activities, executing physical network changes, and ensuring accurate documentation.
This role will focus on daytime coordination, equipment moves, and migration support, while internal hospital teams handle final configurations and overnight cutovers.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Execution

Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to schedule and execute network closet migrations

Serve as a point of contact to ensure alignment across networking, server, application, and clinical IT teams

Assist with planning, tracking, and execution of migration activities to minimize disruption to hospital operations
Infrastructure & Cabling Support

Perform physical installation tasks including:
-
Racking and unracking network equipment
-
Migrating and re-terminating cabling to new switches and routers
-
Ensure proper labeling and organization of all cabling and hardware
Asset Tracking & Documentation
-
Maintain accurate records of:
-
Equipment moves
-
Cable mappings
-
Network diagrams and labeling
-
Update asset management systems and documentation throughout each phase of the project
Network & System Updates

Assist in coordinating IP address changes and validating connectivity post-migration

Update and maintain network management systems, including
Requirements

Hands-on experience with:
-
Network cabling and physical infrastructure work
-
Routers and switches (Cisco preferred)
-
Basic network troubleshooting and connectivity validation

Strong organizational and documentation skills
-
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare or other high-availability environments

Familiarity with:

Cisco networking equipment
-
IP address management tools (Infoblox)

Cisco ISE or similar NAC platforms

Experience supporting infrastructure migration or refresh projects

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
